Our mission is to create, with absolute certitude, high quality wine for sipping, aging, and food pairing for the sophisticated palate. The winery will serve as a “village” or hub to unite locals and tourists alike, to gather for recreation and celebration, to explore local artisan products, and to learn about the land and its history and attractions.
The Wine
AL BORGO will be the first winery in Canada to produce a new grape variety – Vitis Vinifera – setting AL BORGO apart. The Vitis Vinifera grapes are more resistant to pests and, thus, require fewer pesticides to survive and thrive. Vitis Vinifera grapes are pressed to make prestigious and fine wines.
The Estate
The land is an 80-acre parcel, and it is in an excellent location for an Estate Vineyard and Winery, close to the town center. AL BORGO Estate will be approximately 20,000 square feet, divided into three sections: the winery with discovery centre, tasting room, retail store, a piazza, and an event space.
